He has studied intensely with and assisted French Clown Master Philippe Gaulier and is inspired by the creation methods of Jeu, Tragedy, Melodrama, Character, Clown and Bouffon. He is a graduate of McMaster University's Theatre Program, Leeds University's Theatre Program in England and L'Ècole Philippe Gaulier in Paris, France.
Hailed the "Bouffon King" by Glenn Sumi at NOW Magazine, Adam is a regular facilitator of workshops for professional and non-professional artists, including recent workshops and consultations for Theatre Passe Muraille, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, DanceMakers, The Canadian Stage Company, Tapestry New Opera, Volcano Theatre and Mike Kennard's The Hollow.
Adam has directed and co-created many revered and awarded clown, bouffon and character shows, including Rachelle Elie's Joe: The Perfect Man '06 (Best of Ottawa Fringe 2008); Jesse Buck's Bubkus '07; Shawn Hitchens' Homogenius '08; and Melissa D'Agostino's Lupe: Undone '08 (Best of the Toronto Fringe 2008). He is also co-producer of the Annual Toronto Festival of Clowns. Next, Adam is performing in a remount of the award-winning SummerWorks' production of Appetite (Volcano/Theatre Passe Muraille) and Darren O'Donnell's [boxhead] (Crow’s Theatre/Mammalian Diving Reflex/Buddies in Bad Times).
